The Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge sponsor free Monthly Bird Walks/Drives  the 2nd Saturday of each month throughout the year. Participants will meet at Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center located at 7071 Riverview Rd, Thomson, unless notified otherwise. Transportation for the event is provided.  The areas we visit will depend upon current weather conditions and water levels of the Mississippi River and surrounding small waterways. Bring your binoculars and your camera. Binoculars and field guides will be available for loan if you do not have them. When weather permits we will be incorporating our new eight passenger golf cart, available for those with mobility challenges, into some of the bird walks on the refuge.  Go to the website for full details.  www.sumriver.org
