Good things happen when area cultural groups work together. Second Saturdays, a monthly cultural event in downtown Dixon, will present new venues, new artists, charitable giving, and Belgium chocolate goodness February 11th from 6-8 pm at venues between 1st and 2nd Streets and Peoria and Galena Avenues. For February, The Next Picture Show hosts a book launch party for Dixon native, Courtney Walsh. Courtney has found a way to combine her love of scrapbooking with her passion for writing, and she will come home for Second Saturdays to share that love with others. Walsh, 36, the daughter of lifelong Dixon residents Bob and Cindy Fassler, will have a launch party for her newest book, "A Sweethaven Summer".
