Held at the Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center in rural Thomson. The 2008 theme, Tundra to Tropics: Connecting Birds, Habitats and People provides a wonderful opportunity to recognize the important habitats in your locale and the groups and individuals that contribute to their protection.
Events include: 7:30am - Guided Bird Walk. Dress for the weather and bring your binoculars. 9:30am - Bus Tour of Lost Mound Unit of Upper Mississippi River National Fish & Wildlife Refuge (call to register as space is limited) 12:30pm - Program on Using Native Plants in Landscaping 1:30pm - Backyard Bird Feeders - participants will learn how to make bird feeders using everyday items. Lunch will be provided by Friends of the Upper Miss. Refuge. |
