May 30 thru July 15th at the Byron Museum of History - An exhibit featuring U.S. government posters from World War II opens May 30 at the Byron Museum of History in Byron. The exhibit features nine original posters printed by the United States government, which was actively involved in propaganda efforts to encourage citizens to support the war in Europe and Asia. The Byron Museum has been collecting artifacts and stories of area veterans for the past several years, and this is a great opportunity for them to showcase some of their collection along with some very poignant images from American history. This World War II Posters exhibit is on loan from the Illinois Association of Museums through July 15th. The Byron Museum’s hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is located at 110 N. Union Street in Byron; admission is always free
