The City of Fulton\, Illinois and Heritage Canyon are proud to announce 'Fulton's First Annual Bluegrass/Folk Music Festival\,' down i n Heritage Canyon on June 15th\, 2013\, in the north end of Fulton. Five B luegrass/Folk bands will be playing at the festival\, with musicians trave ling from Wisconsin to the north and from Peoria to the south to play.
This is a family event\, so bring the kids\, too. Food and drinks will b e sold within the canyon\, and the ice cream parlor will be selling cones to cool both kids and adults. Crafters will be displaying their goods\, an d volunteers will be on hand\, bringing you back to the days of old as you stroll through this piece of the past.
Parking attendants will be on hand\, and a shuttle bus will be provided for overflow traffic in the par king lot of First Christian Reformed Church on 14th Ave between 7th and 8t h street in Fulton(look for the big pink signs along 14th Ave.) Transporta tion for elderly and handicapped will be provided inside the park\, so don 't let the terrain stop you from coming. The music will start at 1pm and l ast until 6pm. There will be a $5 charge per person at the front gate\, an d $10 charge per family(Limit 2 adults per family). Mark your calendars for the 2013 Carroll County Garden Walk to be held June 29th &\; 30th at Lake Carroll\, IL.

Enjoy many gardens in unique and beautiful country settings. This will include a rang e of young\, developing gardens to very mature gardens that reflect years of nurturing. There are lake front gardens\, sun and shade gardens\, natur al areas\, wooded pathways\, water features and much more for your strolli ng pleasure.

Ticket cost for the event is $10 and each ticket incl udes a raffle chance to win a beautiful handmade item from the Lake Carrol l Quilt Club. Separate raffle tickets for the quilted items will also be a vailable for additional chances to win.

\n

Tickets for the event are available in advance at Twice Told Tales in Lanark at the Unique Mall and through the Lake Carroll Women's Club (815-493-2074).
Day of event ti ckets will be available at the Payne Road entrance to Lake Carroll off Hig hway 73 on Saturday\, June 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday \, June 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Several special events w ill be held in conjunction with the garden walk.
The Lake Carroll Clu bhouse will offer lunch specials and will be the site of the raffle drawin g at 3 p.m. on Sunday\, June 30th.
Trailside Inn &\; General Store will offer a lunch special\, two-for-one mini golf\, and wine purchase di scounts when you show your garden walk ticket.
Silver Moon Winery wil l offer wine purchase discounts and a ' reservation only' event following Saturday's walk hours. Contact them directly for more information.
