The annual Autumn on Parade Festival, held the first weekend in October, is located on the Ogle County Courthouse Square in downtown Oregon. Autumn on Parade features a craft fair, farmer's market and top-notch strolling entertainment. Enjoy the fine arts show, antique tractors and classic auto show on Saturday and the huge Harvest Time Parade on Sunday. Visit Oregon's many specialty shops. Travel north 2 miles to Stronghold Castle www.strongholdcenter.org and join in the merriment at the Old English Faire also held the first weekend in October. Listen to the serenading minstrels as they fill the air with melodies from near and far, tour the castle and watch daring swordfighters display their skill in heroic contests. Visitors to Oregon can enjoy a sculpture tour while driving through town on Illinois Route 2.
