As soon as I heard Dixon would be home to a new restaurant slated to open in January 2008 I was excited. And The Basil Tree hasn't disappointed me or anyone I've brought there to this day (April 2011). If you enjoy fine dining, great food and service in a lovely atmosphere The Basil Tree is a must! Whether you enjoy pasta, seafood, steak, veal or appetizers this is a great place to eat. I brought a friend to their lunch buffet (weekdays only) and she won't stop talking about it! I don't even ask where she wants to go anymore, I already know and I'm more than happy to go there myself! Very good wines I hear as well. Recommendations: Calamari Fritti (fried), Grigliata Mista di Pece, Tilapia, chicken or veal Francois, Linguini w/white clam sauce, ravioli, eggplant, pasta with Basilica or Puttanesca sauce. (Now I'm hungry!)
