The wood is hand selected from locally harvested varieties like cherry, black walnut and oak.  These truly hand-carved rocking horses are made one at a time just as they were in the 1850’s with mallet and chisel complete with real horsehair mane and tail and hand laminated rockers.  Other works are available by the artist in bronze, sand-cast aluminum, and their specialty, raku-fired ceramics in a celestial theme; suns, moons, comets and stars.  These decorative wall hangings are suitable for indoor or outdoor display.  This truly unique experience reflects back to yesteryear when skilled artisans created family heirlooms by hand.
