Battleground Memorial Park - Stillman's Run

Oldest burial site in Northern Illinois. Veterans of the Black Hawk War (1832) were buried here after fighting and dying in the only war to take place on Illinois soil.

Lincoln Statue

Lincoln Statue Drive, Dixon, IL

A statue of 23-year-old Abraham Lincoln as he served as a volunteer soldier in the Black Hawk Indian War of 1832. It is the only known statue of Lincoln showing him in military uniform.
